I feel like any time there’s something players figure out or do in the game, that was originally unintended by Bungie, they patch it to their liking. And then, if there’s something players really want, they simply ignore it. I know this is a blanket statement, and it’s probably a little exaggerated as past patches have done good for the game, but I honestly believe players are getting fed up with some of the changes Bungie implements.

The development team at Bungie has made a lot of big changes for Destiny during its second year of life, but it seems that there’s at least one core element of the social shooter that will never be tweaked, with no plans at the moment to deliver a matchmaking system for the raids that draw many of the players. Luke Smith, the creative director, working on the title, tells Games Radar that such a feature would be a problem because it would give gamers the impression that other gamers are disposable and only count as long as they can provide firepower during combat.
The future of the game is free and linked to microtransactions After the massive set of changes that were introduced in update 2. The focus for the near future will be on the introduction of new content and tweaks to the way microtransactions work. With the addition of the Eververse Trading Company, gamers can use real world money to get access to the Silver currency, which at the moment can be used to get access to emotes and content linked to the Halloween event.
Bungie says that the new revenue stream is being used to expand a live events team, which means Destiny will have a range of new content offered for free to the entire community. It’s not yet clear whether that has been an improvement. I’ve been playing more and more PvP lately. It’s a logical progression — the PvE stuff has reached a predictable tempo for me, so I’ve been getting ready for Trials of Osiris and Iron Banner to come back next week. Though the general grind in Destiny 2 is the same as in the previous game, there are a number of major differences. During our extensive hands-on time before the launch of the game, we saw the many tweaks and additions coming to the game’s core pillars, and how different it’ll be compared to the years spent in the original Destiny.
